President Tinubu reiterates commitment to restructuring Nigeria during meeting with Afenifere

During a courtesy visit by Yoruba elders at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, President Ahmed Bola Tinubu restated his dedication to restructuring Nigeria to ensure good governance for all citizens.

The visit, which took place on Tuesday, was detailed by Comrade Jare Ajayi, the National Publicity Secretary of Afenifere.

Chief Reuben Famuyide Fasoranti, OFR, the Afenifere Leader, led the delegation, which included leaders from Yoruba-speaking states such as Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti, Lagos, Kwara, and Kogi States.

Addressing the group following a presentation by Oba Olu Falae on behalf of Chief Fasoranti, President Tinubu expressed his emotional response to their visit.

He referred to the visit as a ‘defining moment’ and highlighted his alignment with Afenifere’s advocacy for restructuring and constitutional democracy.

Emphasizing the need to establish a strong foundation for restructuring, President Tinubu stressed the importance of revitalizing and reshaping the country’s economy.

He metaphorically likened the restructuring process to teaching a baby to walk, emphasizing the importance of patience to ensure a solid foundation for long-term success.

President Tinubu affirmed his commitment to approaching restructuring thoughtfully and diligently to prevent any missteps.
