On Wednesday at 6 pm, bandits invaded Angwar Danko village in Kakangi Constituency of Birnin Gwari Local Government Area in Kaduna State. They were indiscriminately firing shots and forcibly taking their victims into the forest.

Residents reported that both men and women have been abducted and are currently being led into the forest by the suspected bandits.

The incident was confirmed by Yahaya Musa Dan Salio, the representative for Kakangi Ward in the State House of Assembly. He mentioned that while he did not have the exact number, dozens of villagers were abducted.

In a statement, Dan Salio said, “I was just informed that many of my constituents have been abducted. The bandits have besieged the village, and at this moment, they are still there, taking people into the forest. The situation is grave.”

Expressing concern, Dan Salio highlighted that a majority of the victims were men.
