President Biden: U.S. to Commence Weapon Delivery to Ukraine this Week

President Joe Biden has announced that the United States will initiate the delivery of weapons and equipment to Ukraine within this week.

This announcement followed the approval of billions in fresh aid for the country under attack by Russia by the U.S. Senate.

“I will sign the bill into law and speak to the American people as soon as it lands on my desk tomorrow to kick off the delivery of weapons and equipment to Ukraine this week,” said Biden.

He highlighted that the passage of the legislative package, which also encompasses substantial aid for Israel and Taiwan, showcases the strength of U.S. leadership globally.

“We stand firmly in support of democracy and freedom, and in opposition to tyranny and oppression.

“There is an immediate necessity for Ukraine to receive backing as it faces continuous bombardment from Russia,” remarked Biden.

The legislation further includes assistance for Israel, which has encountered unprecedented assaults from Iran.

“This vital legislation will enhance the security of our nation and the world as we stand by our allies defending themselves against groups like Hamas and leaders like Putin,” Biden emphasized.
