Governor Radda praises late Yar’adua’s contributions to public service

In the state of Katsina, Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has credited the enduring prominence of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua’s political lineage to the exemplary leadership demonstrated by the former president.

During the 14th annual remembrance prayers for Yar’adua at the Katsina Government House, Governor Radda commended the late President as a figure of high regard and discipline, who devoted his life to serving the ordinary people.

The Governor acknowledged that his own approach to governance is influenced in part by Yar’adua’s commitment to ensuring that governmental sacrifices directly impact the lives of the common citizens.

Extolling Yar’adua’s enduring contributions, Governor Radda highlighted achievements such as the Umar Musa Yar’adua University Katsina, the Umaru Yar’adua International Airport, and his pivotal role in establishing Al-Qalam University. He expressed optimism for the emergence of future leaders in Nigeria who embody Yar’adua’s dedication to national progress.

At the event, a book titled “What Yar’adua Told Me and Taught Me,” penned by a close associate of the late president, was unveiled. Governor Radda commended the author’s endeavor and encouraged the public to explore the insights within the book.

Joining the Governor were other notable figures including former Governor Ibrahim Shehu Shema, the Emir of Daura, and Yar’adua’s sibling, all underscoring the significance of ongoing prayers for the late president’s soul. Importantly, the Emir of Daura proposed organizing similar prayer gatherings in Abuja to foster broader participation and well-wishes from across the nation.
