Police Apprehend 3 Individuals for Suspected Mob Activity in Kano


Three suspects have been taken into custody by the Kano State Police Command for their alleged involvement in mob activity in the Fagge Local Government Area of the state.

During a briefing with the press in Kano on Thursday, the State Police Commissioner, Hussaini Gumel, disclosed that the arrests took place on March 27 around 22:00 hours, with the suspects found in possession of a machete.

The individuals identified as Hassan Abdullahi, aged 20 and residing in Zango quarters; Mufit Kamal, aged 16 and residing in Kuntau quarters; and Musa Muhammad, aged 20 and from Brigade quarters in Fagge Local Government Area, were named as the suspects.

The arrival of police officers prompted other suspected troublemakers to flee the scene upon spotting them.

The Commissioner of Police further mentioned that one individual, Musa Muhammad from Brigade quarters, sustained a severe head injury during the incident.

Currently, the victim is under medical care at the Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital in Kano, with an ongoing investigation into the matter.
