Individuals on the radar: Monarch and university lecturer sought after

In connection with the tragic events that unfolded on March 14, claiming the lives of 17 officers and soldiers on a peacekeeping mission in Okuama community, Delta State, the newly-installed Ovie of Ewu-Urhobo Kingdom, Clement Ikolo, Urhukpe 1, has been identified as one of the eight persons that the Defence Headquarters seeks.

Okuama falls within the Ewu-Urhobo Kingdom, presided over by the aforementioned Ikolo.

Emerging reports from the Defence Headquarters on Thursday named eight individuals connected to the incident, including the President-General of Ewu communities and esteemed academic, Prof Arthur Ekpekpo.

Furthermore, another figure on the wanted list is alleged militant leader Akevwru Daniel Omotegbono, also known as Amagbein.

In a subsequent military operation, Omotegbono was reportedly tracked to the Igbomoturu community in Bayelsa State but managed to evade capture by going into hiding.

Also singled out are Atata Malaw David and Sinclair Oliki, suspected associates of the Amagbein faction.

Completing the list are Andaowei Dennis Bakriri and Igoli Ebi, believed to be the mother of one of the fugitives, along with young Reuben Baru, who gained attention through a widely-circulated video detailing the circumstances surrounding the soldiers’ deaths.
