Pastor Paul Enenche, the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, paid a visit on Tuesday to the location where the church building in Northbank, Makurdi, Benue State collapsed.
The unfortunate incident occurred around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, resulting in the death of Pastor Ezekiel Sunday Ahmed, the resident pastor, and causing injuries to several others.
While visiting the site of the tragic incident, Enenche expressed his sorrow over the death of the pastor and the injuries sustained by members of the church.
He expressed gratitude to God that the incident did not occur during the Sunday service, when the auditorium was filled to capacity.
Earlier, Governor Fr Hyacinth Alia of Benue State criticized the church’s leadership for constructing a structure that he deemed substandard.
During his visit to the site, the governor expressed disappointment at not finding any of the church leaders present at the scene.
