The claim of a group from Iran hacking a US government agency website
After the US airstrike that killed General Qassem Soleimani, a group claiming to be from Iran has hacked a US government agency website.
The group called 'Iran Cyber Security Group Hackers' replaced the website of the Federal Depository Library Program with a page titled “Iranian Hackers!” on Saturday, January 4, in retaliation for the death of General Soleimani.
The hacked page displayed a bloodied image of US President Donald Trump being punched in the face, along with a message in Farsi and English, asserting that “martyrdom was [Soleimani’s] reward for years of implacable efforts,” and highlighted Iran’s cyber capabilities.
In addition, the hackers showcased images of Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the Iranian flag.
