A devastating event occurred in Sokoto State where armed bandits ambushed and killed at least nine members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF).
Reports indicate that numerous CJTF members suffered injuries of varying severity during the attack, with three individuals being abducted by the bandits in the Isah Local Government Area on Sunday.
Local resident Ibrahim Muhammad shared with the media that Isah LGA has long been a known stronghold for bandits within the state.
He stated, “On Sunday, nine CJTF members were tragically lost in an ambush in Isa LGA, while many others sustained injuries.”
Furthermore, he mentioned, “Three additional individuals were taken captive in the assault following a distress call for CJTF assistance to support the security agencies.”
This incident marks the second time the CJTF has been targeted by bandits in Sokoto State.
