The Abia Police Command Denies Reports of Policeman’s Resignation Due to Bad Treatment

Reports claiming that Policeman Ugochukwu Nwaso resigned from the Police Force due to mistreatment by authorities have been refuted by the Abia State Police Command. These reports were attributed to a Police wireless signal dated April 26, 2024.

It was alleged by an online platform that Corporal Ugochukwu Nwaso visited Police authorities, surrendered his weapons and uniform, and announced his resignation.

However, the Abia Police Command has clarified that Corporal Ugochukwu Nwaso, stationed at Eziama Police Station, is still actively serving as of May 1, 2024.

In a press release issued on Thursday and signed by ASP Maureen Chinaka on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, the Abia State Police Command dismissed the validity of the Wireless signal referenced in the reports, labeling it as inaccurate and deceptive.

Abia Police Command insists that the mentioned wireless signal is outdated and does not reflect the current status of the situation.

The Abia Police spokesperson, affirming that Corporal Nwaso is currently on duty, has invited individuals holding contrary beliefs to verify his presence at the Eziama Police station division.

She further stated, “As of yesterday, 1 May 2024, Corporal Ugochukwu Nwaso was actively engaging in his duties within the division.”
