Wanted cult leader arrested in Lagos

Police in Lagos have arrested 23-year-old Olowolayemo Sodiq, who is a notorious traffic robbery suspect and alleged cult leader. The arrest was made by detectives from Bariga police station in Lagos State. Sodiq was wanted for his involvement in a robbery where he conspired with one Bamidele Moses, also known as Badoo, to steal a Bajaj motorcycle from Jude Saka in December 2019. Lagos Police Spokesperson, Bala Elkana confirmed the arrest and stated, "His accomplice was initially arrested by detectives from Bariga and transferred to the State Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in October 2019. EFCC Accused of Freezing Shehu Sani’s Bank Account and Demanding Asset Declaration

Former Kaduna lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of freezing his bank accounts and demanding a declaration of his assets.    Speaking on behalf of Shehu Sani, his aide Suleiman Ahmed released a statement on Sunday, January 12, alleging bias on the part of the anti-graft agency. Mentally-deranged man sets Surulere resident ablaze

An individual who is mentally disturbed, identified as Badejo Adewale, was apprehended by the Lagos State Police Command for setting a resident of Surulere ablaze by dousing him with petrol. The victim, Bolatito Kadara, was hurried to the Lagos Island General Hospital and is currently recovering after sustaining burns on Hogan Bassey Street in Surulere.
