Former CAN Leader, Kadzai Criticizes Arewa Youths, Says Nigeria Is Not Theirs

Challenging the Arewa youths to provide evidence to back their call for the resignation of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, the National Youth Leader of the Congress of Northern Nigeria Christians, Engr. Daniel Kadzai, expressed his displeasure.

Kadzai expressed anger at what he perceived as the excessive statements from the group and questioned what empowered them to consistently make demands on national matters.

Yesterday, a group known as the Arewa Conglomerates demanded the resignation of Senate President Akpabio, a move that Kadzai labeled as irresponsible.

A former National President of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN) and Chairman of the Interfaith Coalition Conference, Kadzai dismissed the demand as a weak excuse with no merit.

During a telephone conversation with NewsNow on Wednesday, he pointed out that the discomfort of the Arewa group stemmed from President Bola Tinubu’s presidency, his appointment of a Southerner as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and the emergence of a Southerner as the Senate President.

Blaming the previous administration for the country’s challenges due to their ineffective policies, Kadzai called on the Arewa group to stop assuming ownership of Nigeria by only supporting Northern Muslim interests.
