Moroccan influencers publicly thank the King and Queen of Spain for their visit to the Sidi Embarek cemetery (Ceuta) and disgrace Mohamed VI for the lack of condolences

Several Moroccan influencers thank the Spanish monarchs for coming to the cemetery to pay tribute to those who died at sea, while criticizing that King Mohamed VI has not even shown his condolences to the relatives, that he has not decreed a single day of mourning for his dead compatriots or that he has not ordered an investigation into what happened.

One of them – whose Tik Tok profile is Madara Live Review – finds it ugly that someone like King Mohamed VI “has not even bothered to offer his condolences or call for a period of mourning, nor has he commissioned anyone at the Royal Court to investigate the situation of the families of those who perished there.” And he regrets that – on the contrary – the government and the Royal Family have lied about the death toll, claiming that it was 12 and not 150.

“Mohamed VI has not even bothered to offer his condolences or call for a period of mourning”

This is a video in which this influencer thanks the Kings of Spain for honoring the victims in the Muslim cemetery of Sidi Embarek. A cemetery whose tombs draw attention for their simplicity: many tombstones do not have names because the deceased have not been identified, but rather small signs with numbers written in black paint that correspond to the place and date of recovery of the body.

The influencer explains in this video – with almost 270,000 views in a few hours – that this gesture by the Spanish monarchs took place in an unexpected setting and that the image was very shocking. “The King of Spain, a Christian and non-denominational country that has no relationship with Islam (except, perhaps, for the time of Al-Andalus), went to the place where those who perished during the mass exodus of July 30 were buried. He visited the place where those who fled from Marrakech to Ceuta rest and, there, he paid his respects and bowed his head before their graves.”

“Long live Spain until death”

A gesture, that of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, which has been praised by other Moroccan content creators such as Yeonoshii or Mr. Bo3o, who in this case publishes on his profile an image of the recent trip of the Kings of Spain to Ceuta and writes “Long live Spain until death.”
