Mangut believes Plateau United can handle busy schedule

Upbeat about his team’s prospects, Plateau United’s technical advisor, Mbwas Mangut, is confident that his squad will be ready for the upcoming Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 28 fixture.

The Peace Boys are set to compete against Mighty Jets in the Plateau State Federation Cup final this weekend, followed by an away game against Abia Warriors next Wednesday.

In order to accommodate the State Federation Cup matches, the NPFL decided to reschedule matchday 28 fixtures.

Explaining the necessity for the changes, he mentioned in an interview with the Peace Boys media, “The matches are scheduled too closely together.”

He added, “We aim to rotate our players to ensure they are in their best form for the Wednesday game.”

Anticipating a strong display, he said, “Our goal is to field a competitive team that will delight the fans in the State Federation Cup final versus Mighty Jets.”

Having secured 44 points from 27 matches, Plateau United currently holds the fifth position in the NPFL standings.
