Macron's anger at the public for making noise at a presentation in Kenya: "It's a total lack of respect"

Emmanuel Macron is at the Africa Forward Summit being held these days in Nairobi, capital of Kenya. During his visit to the African country, the French president left a striking moment that quickly went viral on social networks.

During an event in which speakers from the summit were speaking, there was a lot of noise in the room. While the speakers continued speaking and in the middle of the event, Macron gets up from his seat, located in the front row. The president looks with a serious gesture towards the people where the noise is coming from and then walks towards the stage before the astonished gesture of the speakers.

Macron takes the floor: “It’s a lack of respect”

It is then that Macron asks for the microphone and the moderator jokes that the French leader wants to speak “before his turn”, but the President of the French Republic takes the floor and addresses everyone present to call their attention.

“Excuse me. Everyone. Hey, hey, hey. I’m sorry, guys, but it’s impossible to talk about culture with such inspired people who come here to give a speech with so much noise,” says Macron, adding that it is a “total lack of respect” and asks those who are noisy to leave: “If you want to talk about other people’s topics or anything else, I suggest you go to the private rooms or go out. If you want to stay here, we listen to people and we play at the same time.” game. Okay? Thank you.”

Macron’s gesture earned him applause from almost the entire room, including the speakers, who were later able to continue with their speech in optimal conditions after said warning from the French president.
