Lead British School Student Caught Bullying Schoolmate Causes Outrage

Social media has erupted in fury over a video showing a female student at Lead British International School in Abuja being bullied by a fellow student.

An individual with the username @mooyeeeeeee took to X platform on Monday night to demand justice for the victim of bullying at the school.

The user posted a video of the incident with a plea for it to go viral, stating, “There’s a video I’m about to post. I need you guys to help me get justice for (sic). She was bullied in her school by her classmates at Lead British School, Abuja. Pls make it go viral so she can get justice.”

In the disturbing footage, the victim was slapped 18 times by another female student while being questioned, “Who broke my heart?”

Another clip showed the victim being physically assaulted in one of the school’s empty corridors.

The victim has since been identified as Namtira Bwala.

The Nigerian online community on X has united in calling for the school to ensure that justice is served in this case.

Here are some of the comments gathered by NewsNow:

@Jesusgbemi expressed, “It’s disheartening to watch Namtira being bullied. The school management, along with Maryam and her associates in the circulating videos, should be held accountable and brought to justice. SAY NO TO BULLY #JusticeForNamtira”

@OloriofOloris stated, “Omo it’s not enough for the girl to be expelled, I need her and her family members flogged and slapped in return. I need her blacklisted from other schools and then taken to Cele for deliverance. #JusticeForNamtira”

@akop_tech remarked, “It’s really disheartening to see this lady being bullied, painful thing is been bullied by her fellow lady not by a guy, why send your children to big schools and they get to face this kind bully is clearly wrong. Namtira is the victim and Mayram is the villain. #JusticeForNamtira”

@theefejohnson commented, “Everybody saying she should have fought back doesn’t know how bullies work.

“It’s first psychological. They established some sort of dominance over time before ever hitting her. I know because I was in a high school that had ‘Queen bees.’ This made me mad! #JusticeForNamtira”

@Nichevo_ya raised concern, “If one student is bullying another student brazenly like this, then how can we be sure that #LeadBritishSchool does not foster a bullying culture in their school? There must be #JusticeForNamtira”
