Imo State Insecurity: Uzodinma Expresses Regret Over Setbacks


Addressing the challenges brought by insecurity in the Ihube region of Okigwe, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has admitted the setbacks suffered by the state and conveyed his commitment to continued collaboration with local leaders and stakeholders to ensure peace and harmony.

In a meeting with members of the Ihube Peace Committee who visited his office on Tuesday to discuss restoring peace and harmony in Imo State and Nigeria, the governor emphasized his government’s unwavering dedication to peace.

He stressed the necessity of peace and harmony for achieving societal development, expressing gratitude to the Ihube Peace Committee, headed by Most Rev. Sunday Uche, the Emeritus Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, for their interest and visit to learn about the government’s efforts towards lasting peace in the region.

During the meeting, Rev. Uche affirmed their commitment, along with other citizens, to promoting peace across Imo State and Nigeria to foster sustainable development.

Commending the governor for his exemplary leadership in Imo State, Rev. Uche urged him to utilize his influence in collaboration with leaders and stakeholders to ensure peace prevails not only in Imo State but also beyond its borders.
