Singer, Rose May Alaba advocates for increased collaboration among female artists

Rose May Alaba, a musician of Austrian-Nigerian descent, is emphasizing the need for more partnerships among female artists in the industry.

She observed a trend where female artists tend to collaborate more with male counterparts rather than with other women.

During a recent appearance on the Hip TV show, Trending, Alaba conveyed, “It is crucial for female artists to show greater support towards one another.”

Expressing her views, she added, “While it may require time for female artists to gain the deserved recognition, joining forces with each other can significantly benefit us. The prevalent practice of men collaborating more could be due to their openness compared to women. To alter this pattern, we must learn to appreciate and work together.”
