Efforts made by PDP NWC to address crisis over Rivers Caretaker Committee list

In light of the controversy surrounding the Rivers State Caretaker Committee list, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has decided to pursue a political solution to resolve the issue.

A press release issued by the National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, revealed that this decision was reached during an emergency meeting held on Tuesday to evaluate the situation concerning the Caretaker Committee.

The NWC’s statement acknowledged the presence of an Ex-Parte Order from the Federal High Court, Abuja, which has restrained the NWC from taking any further actions regarding the status of the published Rivers State Caretaker Committee List.

Despite this legal constraint, the NWC recognized the collaborative efforts of various party organs, particularly the PDP Governors’ Forum, in seeking a political resolution to the dispute surrounding the Rivers State Caretaker Committee.

Consequently, the NWC has decided to work closely with the PDP Governors’ Forum to enhance ongoing consultations aimed at peacefully addressing the challenges faced by the Rivers State PDP Chapter.
