In a recent development, it has been discovered that the individuals believed to be the main orchestrators behind the assault on the Abuja-Kaduna train are operating command centers at crucial positions across the northern region of the country.
This revelation follows the apprehension of the purported mastermind, Ibrahim Abdullahi, by the Nigeria Police.
Notoriously known as Mandi, the suspect was taken into custody.
Authorities shared that the perpetrators of the Abuja train attack are now cooperating with law enforcement to shed light on various aspects, with plans for thorough scrutiny by the Intelligence Response Team (IRT).
Updates were shared in a publication on X by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, where he assured the public that the police are determined to dismantle the criminal networks.
Adejobi stated, “The individuals behind the Abuja Kaduna train incident are assisting us in uncovering crucial information. They will undergo investigation by the IRT.
“Further interrogation is necessary. These individuals are overseeing command camps strategically positioned in the North. However, we are committed to eradicating their operations entirely.”
