DSS Warns Nigerians to Stay Alert this Easter

During the Easter celebration, citizens have been cautioned by the Department of State Services, DSS, to maintain a high level of vigilance.

In a statement released on Friday and signed by Peter Afunanya, the Director of PR and Strategic Communications at the Department of State Services, Nigerians were urged to promptly report any criminal activities planned during the festivities.

The statement emphasized the importance of alertness and the need to report any security breaches to the appropriate law enforcement agencies. It highlighted the DSS website (www.dss.gov.ng), email address ([email protected]), and telephone lines (+234915 339 1309; +234 908 837 3514) as essential channels for public communication.

Furthermore, Afunanya advised Christians in the country to steer clear of illegal substances and excessive alcohol consumption during the holiday.

He also stressed the importance of avoiding all forms of negative behavior, including drug abuse and alcoholism, and encouraged individuals to promote peace, unity, and inclusivity in Nigeria.
