CBN Dedicated To Supporting Enterprises, Diversification  – Director

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is firmly committed to backing businesses and the diversification of the economy through the provision of grants and interventions.

Yesterday, at the CBN fair, which took place at the International Conference Centre, Gombe, Gombe State, Dr Isa Abdulmumin, the bank’s director of corporate communication, affirmed this.

Representing the bank, Mr Esu Imo, the assistant director of the department, said that as a responsible and responsive entity, CBN is enthusiastic about assisting businesses and fostering diversification by means of several interventions in sectors such as agriculture, health, manufacturing, and other pivotal areas of the economy.

He shared that the purpose of the fair was to raise awareness among the public about how the bank’s interventions can bolster their businesses and contribute to Nigeria’s economy, ultimately encouraging them to seek the grants.

“The fair is designed as a platform for engaging with the public on the policies and strategic interventions of the Central Bank of Nigeria towards achieving sustainable economic development in Nigeria.

“The bank will also continuously introduce proactive and innovative policies to ensure that all economic sub-sectors receive the necessary support,” he assured.

The controller of the Gombe State branch of the CBN, Shehu Alhaji Goringo, represented by a principal officer of the bank, Abdullahi Baba Isah, added that the bank’s mission is to be proactive in providing a stable framework for Nigeria’s economic development.

To achieve this objective, CBN has implemented commendable interventions such as the ABP, CACS, RSSF, HSI, AgSMEIS, TCF, and others to expand the number of beneficiaries involved in various ventures.

“This fair will offer a unique opportunity to delve into the operations of the Central Bank of Nigeria, gain an understanding of the challenges faced, and exchange knowledge and best practices. It will also provide an invaluable platform for networking, collaboration, and forging new partnerships,” he stated.
