Breakthrough in ABSU Student Murder Case: Suspect Apprehended by Police


The Abia State Police Command has made a significant development by capturing Emmanuel Victor, the main suspect in the tragic murder of Emmanuel Uche, a student at Abia State University, Uturu.

Emmanuel Uche, a final-year student at ABSU, was brutally killed on March 11, 2024, in an incident believed to be linked to cult activities. The disturbing footage of the heinous act, which occurred in front of Miracle Lodge, garnered widespread attention on social media platforms.

In a recent announcement, the Abia State Police Command revealed that their team of investigators successfully apprehended the primary suspect in the case, identified as Victor Emmanuel.

According to a press release signed by ASP Maureen Chinaka, the Abia State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, the breakthrough came following actionable intelligence received by the authorities. The arrest took place on April 18, 2024, in Isiukwuato, where Victor Emmanuel was caught on video committing the murder of Emmanuel Uche at Miracle Lodge, Abia State University, Uturu.

The press release further states that the suspect has confessed to the crime and is currently in police custody awaiting legal proceedings.

The Abia Police Command emphasized that the suspect will face charges in a court of law.
