Breaking News: Catholic Priest Abducted in Adamawa


The recent abduction of Rev. Fr. Oliver Buba, a Catholic priest, by unknown gunmen has been confirmed by the Adamawa State Police Command.

SP Suleiman Nguroje, the command’s spokesperson, announced the incident in Yola on Wednesday, mentioning that a rescue team has been dispatched to the forest where the priest was taken.

A statement signed by Most Rev. Stephen Mamza, the Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese, revealed that the priest was kidnapped from his residence in Numan Local Government Area on Tuesday.

Expressing hope for the priest’s swift release, Mamza has requested prayers from the Christian community and the public, seeking divine intervention in this distressing situation.
