Bayern manager’s perspective on advantages over Arsenal in the second leg

Thomas Tuchel, the manager of Bayern Munich, has pointed out that they hold a “slight advantage” over Arsenal in the upcoming Champions League quarter-final second leg.

The first leg at the Allianz Arena ended in a 2-2 draw, setting the stage for an intriguing return fixture.

Arsenal enters the match on the back of a disappointing 2-0 home loss to Aston Villa over the weekend.

In contrast, Bayern secured a 2-0 victory over Koln, a day before Bayer Leverkusen clinched the league title.

For Tuchel, the Champions League represents his final opportunity to claim silverware with Bayern before he departs at the end of the season. He believes that his team’s experience in the tournament could play a crucial role.

Addressing the media, he stated, “Our edge lies in the wealth of experience we possess in this competition. However, transforming that edge into a tangible advantage requires a stellar performance. We are prepared to leave everything on the pitch.”

He emphasized, “Once again, we will need to display all our strengths – passion, and the tactical discipline we exhibited in the first leg.”
