Barr Ben Nwoye Mourns the Passing of Senator Ayogu Eze, Describing Enugu’s Loss of an Astute Leader

The demise of Senator Ayogu Eze has left Barr Ben Nwoye, the former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State, in a state of shock.

NewsNow confirmed that Senator Eze passed away on Thursday morning at an Abuja hospital.

In a personal statement issued on Thursday, Nwoye expressed his grief, stating that Enugu APC had suffered a great loss with the passing of Senator Eze. He described the late Senator as the most qualified candidate for governor that Enugu North Senatorial zone never had.

Reflecting on the recent losses suffered by Enugu APC, Nwoye remarked, “How can one even begin to fathom this? It is heartbreaking to lose such remarkable individuals in succession. First, the passing of Mrs. Maria Aniobi, the former Enugu representative at the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, and now, the sudden departure of Ayogu Eze.”

Highlighting Senator Eze’s significance within the party, Nwoye emphasized, “Senator Eze was not only our governorship candidate in the 2019 general election but also a shining beacon of strength, wisdom, and empathy. His absence has created an irreplaceable void within Enugu APC.”

Nwoye concluded his statement with a prayer for the peaceful rest of Senator Eze’s soul and asked for divine strength to uphold the late Senator’s family and all those who shared a connection with him.
