In a thrilling development, the young talent Chidozie Obi-Martin from Arsenal has earned a spot in Denmark’s team for the upcoming U17 Euro championship.
Interestingly, Denmark happens to be Obi-Martin’s country of birth, adding a special significance to his selection for this prestigious tournament.
The announcement of his inclusion in the 20-man squad was officially confirmed by the Danish Football Union on Monday.
A star player for the Arsenal U18 squad, Obi-Martin has demonstrated his skills by scoring in eight consecutive matches in the U18 Premier League.
Having already netted an impressive 29 goals this season, his prowess on the field is undeniable. His debut for Denmark’s U17 national team took place in a friendly match against Norway back in August 2023.
Denmark will be facing tough competition from Austria, Croatia, and Wales in Group B during the European championship.
