APC’s Rejection of Ganduje’s Suspension Court Order

Describing the court order affirming the suspension of Abdullahi Ganduje as the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as unlawful, the National Working Committee, NWC, expressed its stance.

An ex parte order from a Kano State High Court on Wednesday had reinforced Ganduje’s suspension, barring him from identifying as an APC member. This order was issued by Justice Usman Na’abba based on a motion filed by Haladu Gwanjo and Laminu Sani.

During a press briefing at the APC Abuja National Secretariat, the party’s National Legal Adviser, Professor Abdulkarim Kana, emphasized that the court order was invalid.

Kana made these remarks following a visit by the Ganduje Ward and Local Government exco to the national chairman.

Addressing the situation, Kana stated, “We’re also hearing this afternoon that they used the same document to go to court to obtain an order of the court. We haven’t seen the order, but we have heard about it.”

He further added, “Whatever order that will emanate from such a document, and all of us know – even a 100 level law student will tell you that an order obtained by fraud is an unlawful order – it will not be enforceable, and it will not be recognised and it will not be respected.”

Kana insisted that those responsible for Ganduje’s suspension are not actual members of the APC.
