Andreas Pereira Identifies Man Utd’s Biggest Flop and Criticizes Club

During his 11-year stint at Old Trafford, former Manchester United player, Andreas Pereira, revealed the biggest flop he encountered at the club.

In a subtle jab at Man United, the 28-year-old expressed his sentiments about feeling unappreciated within the club.

After joining Man United from PSV Eindhoven in 2011, Pereira initially played in the youth teams before making his senior debut three years later.

Having appeared in 75 matches for the club, Pereira also had loan spells at Granada, Valencia, Lazio, and Brazilian side Flamengo.

In 2022, the Brazilian midfielder permanently departed the Premier League outfit to join Fulham.

When discussing underperforming players at Man United on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel, Pereira singled out Angel Di Maria, stating, “From the first training session, he was outstanding. However, he struggled to adapt. There were personal issues that also affected his performance. It puzzled me how such a talented player couldn’t excel at United, adding more pressure to the situation.”

Pereira emphasized his desire for more game time, stating, “I craved playing time and feeling valued. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive the appreciation I anticipated. I longed for that support, closeness to my family, and the joy of playing football.”
