Abuja Testifier Meets Enenche and Wife after Dunamis Apology

During her recent visit to Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja, Vera Anyim, the woman whose testimony sparked controversy, expressed her forgiveness towards the church despite the treatment she received from Senior Pastor Dr. Paul Enenche.

The incident unfolded when Anyim, in her testimony, mentioned graduating with a “Bsc in Law” from the National Open University of Nigeria, which was questioned by Enenche and led to her being asked to leave the pulpit.

Following the backlash and demands for an apology, Anyim clarified on her Facebook page that she holds no ill feelings towards the church. She later met with Enenche and his wife, Becky, sharing photos of their meeting and expressing her dedication to serving God within the Dunamis Church community.

In response to the incident, the church issued a statement explaining that concerns arose regarding Anyim’s language proficiency and academic credentials during her testimony on April 14, 2024. This led to Enenche’s actions, driven by a commitment to maintaining standards of excellence and integrity within the church community.

However, the church clarified that the intention was not to publicly embarrass Anyim, but rather to uphold principles of excellence and truthfulness. They emphasized their regret for any inconvenience or hurt caused to Anyim and reiterated their commitment to her well-being and spiritual growth.

Photos confirming Anyim’s graduation from NOUN were shared online, dispelling doubts raised during the incident. Anyim herself later revealed her academic status, stating that she graduated with a Third Class from NOUN and emphasized the importance of not judging others based on linguistic abilities or academic achievements.

Despite the initial challenges faced during her testimony, Anyim remains steadfast in her faith and determination, embracing the idea that even a rejected stone can become a cornerstone of strength. Her unwavering belief in the resilience provided by her faith is testament to her unwavering spirit.
