Following a groin injury, Nigerian winger Yira Sor has recently undergone surgery which will unfortunately force him to sit out the remainder of the season.
Expected to be in recovery until June, the KAA Genk star will be absent from the Championship playoffs in Belgium.
It was revealed by Genk that Sor sustained the injury during a league match against Standard Liege.
Despite this setback, the swift winger has already started his rehabilitation process and is anticipated to be fit for the upcoming season.
This season, Sor impressively netted six goals in 20 league games for the Smurfs.
