Wilfred Ndidi, Super Eagles midfielder, to undergo surgery and miss one month of action

Leicester City’s Nigerian midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, will be undergoing surgery after sustaining an injury during training, as revealed by manager Brendan Rodgers.

Ndidi, who has been in impressive form this season, has featured in every Premier League game for the Foxes, except for the match against Sheffield United. He has accumulated 1,730 minutes of playing time in the EPL and has garnered interest from clubs such as Manchester United and Tottenham.

Due to his injury and upcoming surgery, Ndidi will miss crucial matches against Southampton, Burnley, West Ham United, and Brentford during his time on the sidelines.

“Wilf took a knock in training yesterday, which unfortunately means he might need a slight operation tomorrow,” stated Brendan Rodgers on Leicester City’s official Twitter account. “That’ll put him out for a few weeks, but it’s not overly serious, so hopefully, going into February, he’ll be fit and ready to go again.”
