During the early hours of Tuesday, a group of bandits carried out a violent raid in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State. They abducted the manager of Taj Bank’s Gusau branch, Mallam Mansur Kaura, from his residence.
Reports indicate that the bandits arrived at the banker’s home around 12:30 am and took him captive. Armed with advanced weapons, they fired shots indiscriminately to intimidate the locals before proceeding to abduct the manager.
Additionally, the bandits caused chaos in several areas including Mareri, Damba, Tsauni, and Samaru within the state capital before making their escape.
As of now, there has been no official statement released by the security authorities regarding this latest attack by the bandits.
