U-17 WWCQ: Flamingos coach, Olowookere invites 25 players for Burkina Faso clash

A total of 25 players have been called up by Flamingos’ coach, Bankole Olowookere, to prepare for the upcoming 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Burkina Faso.

The Nigerian team is set to play the first leg in Burkina Faso on May 11, with the return fixture scheduled to take place at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

The victor of the two-match series will secure one of Africa’s three berths at the World Cup tournament, which is slated to be held in the Dominican Republic.

Among the players invited are Nwachukwu Prisca, Adebayo Jumai, Adegoke Khadija, Ibrahim Ayoade, Olowookere Oluwatoyin, Azeez Rokibat, and Okezie Onyedikachi.

Additional invitees comprise Afolabi Taiwo, Aderemi Mary, Moshood Shakira, Isiaka Ololade, Abdulwahab Farida, and Joseph Queen, among others.

The 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup is scheduled to take place from October 16 to November 3, 2024.

Flamingos claimed the third spot in the previous edition of the tournament.
