Between March and April 2024, the Kaduna State Fire Service reported a total of 81 fire outbreaks, resulting in two fatalities and injuries to three individuals.
Paul Aboi, the director of the service, disclosed these statistics in an interview with NAN conducted in Kaduna on Thursday.
During the mentioned period, reports of fire incidents were received from various locations including Kaduna, Zaria, and Kafanchan.
Efforts are being made by the fire service to decrease the occurrence of fire incidents by educating residents on fire safety measures.
Within this timeframe, properties valued at N10 billion were saved from destruction, contrasting with N2 billion worth of property that succumbed to the flames,
Aboi commended hospitals across the nation for their prompt response in attending to the victims of these incidents.
