Two crucial matches that could determine the fate of the EPL title for Man City and Arsenal, according to Redknapp

According to Jamie Redknapp, a former England midfielder, Arsenal’s chances of winning the remaining games will hinge on their performance in the North London derby against Tottenham this Sunday.

In spite of that, Redknapp acknowledges that even a victory for Arsenal might not be enough to prevent Manchester City from clinching the Premier League title.

Following a convincing 4-0 win against Brighton, City now trails the Gunners by just one point and still have a game in hand.

The upcoming matches against all three title contenders, starting with their rivals Arsenal, will be crucial for Tottenham’s role in the title race.

Redknapp stated during a Sky Sports broadcast: “Tottenham’s influence in the title race can’t be underestimated, can it?

“Their match against Arsenal this Sunday is of immense significance. Results in derby matches are always unpredictable.

“If Arsenal can secure a victory and claim three points, I believe they will have momentum to win all their remaining fixtures.

“Subsequently, it boils down to whether Manchester City will falter, even if it’s just a draw. This scenario could pave the way for Arsenal to secure the title.

“Tottenham also has a home fixture against Manchester City, where they have historically performed well.”
