Troops Rescue Woman Kidnapped by Boko Haram 11 Years Ago Alongside Three Children

Working in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force, Operation Hadin Kai, the troops of the Forward Operating Base Molai successfully rescued family members of a Boko Haram terrorist.

The rescue operation took place after a joint security team set up an ambush at the logistics crossing point of the terrorists along the Yuwe Road, Komala, in Bama LGA in Borno State.

The information was disclosed on Friday by Zagazola Makama, a security analyst based in Lake Chad, in a post on his X handler.

Based on intelligence received, Makama stated that the troops encountered the terrorists during a counter-offensive patrol in Yuwe, resulting in a fierce gun battle.

After a successful mission, the troops defeated the Boko Haram terrorists, causing some to flee in disarray, leaving behind their family members, properties, and ammunition.

Among the rescued individuals is a mother named Aisha Usman, accompanied by her three daughters – Hauwa, Binta, and Amina.

Initial investigations revealed that Aisha Usman was abducted by force when Boko Haram attacked her home in HANTSA village in Gulak district, Madagali LGA of Adamawa State back in 2014.

She was then taken to the Njimiya camp in the Sambisa Forest, where she was forcefully married to one of the terrorists and had three children.

As part of the ongoing process, the rescued family has been placed under military custody for further profiling and necessary actions,” Makama elaborated.
