Tragic Incident in Osun as Three Lose Lives in Multi-Car Collision

In a devastating occurrence near Prism Steel Mill along the Osogbo-Ikotim road, three individuals tragically lost their lives.

The fatal incident transpired on Tuesday evening, as disclosed in a statement released by the Osun Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC.

According to the First Information Report (FIR) provided by Agnes Ogungbemi, the spokesperson of the Osun FRSC, an adult male sustained injuries of varying severity during the head-on collision.

Reportedly, the accident resulted from violations of road traffic regulations and excessive speed.

The crash involved two vehicles – a black Lexus ES350 (registration number: SMK17JK) owned by Mr. Abdullah, and a green commercial DAF truck 85.340 (registration number: ZUR36XB).

The injured individual was promptly transported to Osun State University Teaching Hospital in Osogbo, while the deceased were also taken to the same medical facility by the response team.

Furthermore, the Nigeria Police, Ikirun Division, towed away the two vehicles involved in the collision.

Meanwhile, Sector Commander Henry Benamaisia issued a stern warning to motorists, urging them to avoid overspeeding and violating traffic routes.
