Tragic Incident: 40-Year-Old Man from Bayelsa Discovered Deceased in Brothel


On Tuesday, a shocking discovery was made in Bayelsa State as the lifeless body of an unidentified man was found in a brothel where he had reportedly been staying with a commercial worker.

Reports indicate that the deceased, a 40-year-old father of 12 children, had visited the brothel in the Tombia-Amassoma Road area of Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa State, to meet with his regular companion.

Residents revealed that the deceased, originally from Delta State, had suffered from a stroke prior to the tragic incident and was known to be a patron of the commercial sex workers in the locality.

According to witnesses, the man left his residence around 8 am on Tuesday to rendezvous with a prostitute, only to be found dead later in the day within the premises. Shockingly, he was discovered unclothed in the room, with all the sex workers fleeing upon realizing his demise.

Upon the arrival of onlookers, efforts were made to establish the identity of the deceased for the purpose of contacting his family to arrange for the removal of the body for burial.

Further information revealed that authorities had previously conducted raids on the brothel, flagging it as a red-light district.

The Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) commander in Bayelsa State, Mr. Tolumobofa Akpoebibo Jonathan, confirmed to NewsNow at the scene that the deceased was a 40-year-old father of 12 hailing from Delta State.

ASP Musa Muhammed, the police spokesperson in Bayelsa State, shared with NewsNow that efforts were underway to contact the Divisional Police Officer overseeing the area to obtain accurate details regarding the incident.
