Reportedly, a fatal accident at Iyana Odogo on Ilaro-Owode Road, Ogun State, has resulted in two fatalities and one person sustaining injuries.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) spokesperson in Ogun, Florence Okpe, verified the incident in a statement released on Friday in Abeokuta.
At approximately 6:00 pm, a collision transpired involving a Mitsubishi car bearing the registration JJJ 854 JH and a truck with the plate number T12224LA.
There were a total of seven individuals in the vehicles, comprising four men and three women.
According to Okpe, one woman was injured, and two men lost their lives in the tragic incident.
She attributed the likely causes of the accident to obstruction and speeding violations.
The injured individual and the deceased were promptly transported to General Hospital, Ilaro, as confirmed by the FRSC spokesperson.
Sector Commander Anthony Uga urged drivers to adhere to designated speed limits and consistently follow traffic laws and regulations.
