Three Suspected Armed Robbers Arrested by Police; Weapons Recovered

Authorities in Lagos State have apprehended three individuals believed to be involved in armed robbery and cult activities that have been causing fear in various parts of the state.

In an interview with NAN in Lagos on Tuesday, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Command, shared this information.

According to Hundeyin, the initial suspect, known as Bright and aged 34, was apprehended in the Iba area based on information provided by the public.

Further investigations led to the capture of two more suspects, aged 23 and 28, in the Jakande-Lekki region of the state.

The individuals were found in possession of three locally crafted semi-automatic pistols, one locally made revolver, four live cartridges, and 129 rounds of 9mm ammunition.

After the conclusion of the ongoing investigation, the suspects will be brought to court for legal action, Hundeyin stated.

The spokesperson praised the residents of Lagos for their prompt sharing of information, which facilitated the arrest of the suspects.

“Policing is a collective responsibility; if you notice something suspicious, report it,” he emphasized.
