NLO Takes Action Against Ogbomosho United Players for Assaulting Match Officials


Suspension has been handed out to three players and two officials of Ogbomosho United by the Nationwide League One due to an assault on match officials.

Ridwan Kamaldeen, Ebere Success, and Shittu Ismail Adegoke are the players facing suspension.

In addition, the club’s general manager and media officer have also been reprimanded by the NLO.

This incident took place during a match involving Ogbomosho United and Positive FC.

According to reports, the game proceeded without any issues that could have led to the players and officials of Ogbomosho United from resorting to violence against the match officials.

The NLO rule and regulations make it clear that any form of intimidation or harassment of match officials by club supporters, fans, or officials is strictly prohibited before, during, and after matches. Offenders will face punishment, and the team officials will also be sanctioned accordingly.

Ogbomosho United has the option to appeal against this decision.
