Shocking Incident of Three Boys Gang-Raping 14-Year-Old Girl in Delta Community

Reports have surfaced of a distressing incident where three boys allegedly carried out a brutal gang rape and defilement of a fourteen-year-old girl in Otor-Udu Community, located in the Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.

The harrowing event took place on Monday, March 18, as confirmed by sources.

Prior to the arrival of law enforcement and a human rights advocate for their apprehension, the perpetrators had absconded from their residences.

Accounts suggest that the victim, who was on her way back from school, was beckoned by one of the boys, known as Brorien, a familiar figure in the vicinity. Subsequently, two other individuals, Dickson and Takebwebu, purportedly coerced her into a dwelling, where they subjected her to gang rape and defilement.

Following the reprehensible ordeal, the victim was promptly taken to Otu Jeremi General Hospital, where medical examinations confirmed the assault.

Presently, the victim continues to suffer from bleeding and is receiving medical attention.

Confirming the incident, the Delta State Police Command under CP Abaniwonda Olufemi acknowledged the report. During a telephone conversation with Our Correspondent, Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, remarked, “The incident was reported, but the suspects remain at large.”

Activist Kelvin Ejumudo, denouncing the despicable act perpetrated by the trio, asserted, “They may attempt to flee, but evading justice is not an option.”

He implored the President-General of Otor-Udu Community to refrain from resolving such grave matters internally and ensure the culprits are handed over to law enforcement for prosecution.

Ejumudo advocated for stringent legislation governing rape offenses within the state, stressing the importance of setting a precedent to discourage future perpetrators.
