Donald Trump returns to the US presidency for the Republican Party and many of the proposals reflect both their policies of his first mandate and also his new initiatives adapted to the current context. Trump is presented as the saving figure and capable of “saving the United States” from liberal policies and changes that, according to him, have weakened the country.

Mainly, he maintained the focus of his campaign against immigration and his border wall and the restoration of the “order.” That is, restoring patriotic values ​​and ensures that under its leadership, USA will recover respect both nationally and internationally. It also promises to continue supporting the police and security agencies, as opposed to progressive proposals to reduce police financing.

Immigration policy

In this block, the Republican candidate made similar promises in 2016 and 2020, since it is a “flag” theme in its proposals. Trump has made immigration and border a central theme of his campaign.

  • Pharmaceutical independence: It promises that the US will manufacture more medications within the country to avoid dependence on other nations, in particular China.
  • Against sex transitions: The former Republican president presented in a campaign video that his administration would not allow hospitals and medical care providers .
  • Abortion: In April, he affirmed that he would not sign a federal abortion prohibition and has adopted the position that abortion laws must be decided by states.
