The United States asks Europe what you need for lasting peace in Ukraine

The new White House administration, chaired by Donald Trump, sent a document to the NATO European members in which they were asked What measures needed from the United States to ensure lasting peace in Ukraineaccording to Reuters.

The sending of the document occurred shortly after the leaders of the old continent criticized the president of the United States for contacting Putin, to negotiate the situation in Ukraine, without this being taken into account.

In that questionnaire, the United States asked European leaders various issues, such as “What short and long term resources do you think will be necessary by the US?”. This would come in reference to what economic and arms resources could be useful to ensure the peace process.

The United States even asks the deployment of troops

In relation to another of those issues to which Reuters had access, the US administration consulted if It would be necessary to deploy troops, to what extent, for how long and where.

To date, Europe had only sent Ukraine help in the form of military material to defend itself.

Ask for sanctions proposals

In this document, the United States asks their allies in Europe what proposals for new sanction would see viable for Russia, or if they decided to expand existing ones and to what extent.

A consultation that comes after President Trump called his counterpart in Russia, Vladimir Putin, to begin peace conversations in Ukraine, behind European countries.
