The NNPCL clarifies fuel pump price adjustments

Amidst circulating rumors, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has officially dismissed claims of having decreased petrol and diesel pump prices.

Speaking on behalf of the NNPCL, spokesperson Olufemi Soneye issued a statement affirming these assertions as inaccurate.

Soneye refuted the speculations, urging the Nigerian populace to ignore such misinformation.

Recent posts across diverse social media platforms had alleged that the NNPCL had slashed petrol prices to below N600 and diesel prices to under N900.

In response, the company stated: “The NNPC Limited would like to address the unfounded suggestions of price modifications for Premium Motor Spirit and Automotive Gas Oil at its retail outlets nationwide.

“These claims are baseless, and the NNPC encourages Nigerians to pay no attention to them.”

“NNPC Ltd reiterates its dedication to upholding the current adequacy in petroleum product availability at all its retail locations within the nation.”
