The US Department of Justice has published new documents related to the pedophile and sexual offender, Jeffrey Epstein, who died in prison in August 2019. Three million pages, almost 180,000 images and thousands of videos that the Government of Donald Trump has shared this Friday, one year after the law ordered the publication of information related to the case.
Two packages for Aznar and Ana Botella
The files show that Epstein and his partner, Ghislane Maxwell, sent two packages to the Aznar couple in 2003 and 2004.
The first is a 220 gram package sent on September 2, 2003 from New York to La Moncloa to the recipients “president and Ana Aznar”, who collected it on September 4. At this time, Aznar was still President of the Government and led a legislature that was very marked by his closeness to the US Government and his relationship with George W. Bush.
The second was sent in May 2004 – two months after Aznar lost the elections to José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero – from New York, but instead of La Moncloa, to the headquarters of the FAES Foundation on Juan Bravo Street in Madrid. The shipment was recorded on May 5th and picked up on May 10th.
In the years in which the shipments were produced, the scandals that later surrounded Epstein were still openly and publicly unknown, since it was in 2005 when the first complaint was filed with the Palm Beach (Florida) police for abuse of a minor, which opened the first criminal investigation and for which he pleaded guilty to paying a minor for sex.
A payment of $1,050 in the name of the former president
The latest disclosure in the file also includes a payment from the financier to his travel agent in Aznar’s name, for $1,050, dated October 17, 2003. The company Shoppers Travel Inc., recipient of the payment, was regularly used by Jeffrey Epstein to book commercial flights for his associates and employees.
The names of José Aznar, son of the former president, and Alejandro Agag, his son-in-law and former member of the European Parliament, also appear in Epstein’s phone book. In this file of nearly a hundred pages, there are the professional emails of both. However, the appearance of these names in these documents does not imply any irregularity or illicit behavior.
Aznar’s entourage assures that they do not know him
Sources close to Aznar have expressed their surprise at the fact that the name of the former president of the Government appears in these declassified files and have stressed that they neither know him nor have any idea why his name appears and why these shipments were made.
“No idea. He doesn’t know that man at all,” sources close to Aznar have assured Europa Press, who recognize that many packages and shipments destined for the Presidency of the Government can arrive at the Moncloa Palace.
Both the shipments of the packages (of which the nature is not explained) and the accounting entry of Epstein’s travel agent do not presuppose any irregularity. Furthermore, it was in July 2019 when the financier was arrested in New York on federal charges of sex trafficking of minors and the case became a global scandal that made all the headlines.
New photographs of former Prince Andrew
The files contain many emails that the businessman exchanged with high-profile figures. One of them is called ‘The Duke’ and could be the former Prince Andrés. Regarding the content of the emails, they talk about a dinner at Buckingham Palace with “a lot of privacy” and they were signed with the letter ‘A’.
These emails may further compromise the brother of King Charles III, since they were exchanged in 2010 – two years after Epstein pleaded guilty to soliciting sexual services from a minor – and in them the businessman promised to send a young “Russian woman, 26 years old, intelligent and beautiful, trustworthy” to London. The recipient of the message signed as “HRH (His Royal Highness) The Duke of York.”
“Nice to have you coming here to BP”
In the series of emails, there also appear invitations exchanged between Epstein and Andrés to visit each other at their respective residences. Andrés’ invitation to Epstein to Buckingham Palace itself (the official residence of the then Queen Elizabeth) occurred in September 2010, just a month after Epstein was no longer under house arrest and when his profile as a sexual predator was already public and notorious: “Delighted that you come here to BP (acronym for Buckingham Palace). Come with whoever you want, I’ll be free from 4 to 8,” writes what appears to be Andrés, to which Epstein responded: “See you at 4.”
New compromising photos of the former prince have also been published. In one he appears looking at the camera from the ground with a woman lying next to him. And in the other, he has his hand on the woman’s belly, who shows a passive attitude.
Elon Musk, to Epstein: “What day/night will be the wildest party on your island?”
Elon Musk also appears in the new Jeffrey Epstein files, with whom he also exchanged emails. In one of them, Musk asked him what day or night the “wildest party” would be held on his island. In a previous message, Epstein asked how many people there would be to prepare the helicopter to the island, to which Musk responded that only “Talulah and I”, in reference to Talulah Riley, a British actress and writer who married the tycoon twice.
The exchange of messages in 2012 between Musk and Epstein highlights the relationship between the two but still leaves the question of whether the Tesla owner ever went to the private island of the accused of sex trafficking. Musk has said publicly that Epstein “tried to reach out” to him, but that he never visited the island and that any suggestion otherwise is “categorically false.”
