The National grid suffers another collapse leading to a complete blackout

Customers of the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company Plc, EEDC, were faced with a total blackout in the entire Southeast due to a system collapse that occurred at 2am on Monday, as disclosed by the company’s Head of Corporate Communications, Emeka Eze.

Efforts are currently underway to restore normalcy in the region, according to EEDC.

According to the statement released, the system collapse led to the loss of supply to all interface TCN stations, affecting customers in Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo States.

However, the situation is gradually improving as supplies were received at Awada TCN station, Onitsha, at 7:30am.

EEDC is in constant communication with relevant authorities and awaiting full restoration of supply by the National Control Centre, NCC, Oshogbo.
