The Governor of Kebbi State, Gov Idris, Pledges to Penalize Informants Working with Bandits

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has made a strong statement, declaring his intention to authorize severe penalties, including death warrants, for individuals who provide information to bandits in the state.

His statement was made on Saturday during a sympathy visit to Tudun Bichi in Wasagu Chiefdom, Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area, where he visited to offer condolences to the community following repeated bandit attacks.

Expressing his anger towards these informants, the governor vowed to swiftly approve death warrants for those found guilty of aiding bandits.

Idris emphasized the betrayal of trust and moral values that informants exhibit by selling valuable information to criminals for a meager amount.

He made it clear that he would not show any leniency towards such dishonest individuals and warned all potential informants of the consequences of their actions.

Reaffirming his commitment to supporting the security agencies, the governor assured that his administration would provide the necessary resources, including logistics and welfare support, to ensure that the troops are well-equipped for success in combat operations.

Furthermore, he approved the immediate rehabilitation of a three-kilometer road connecting the village with Wasagu, which had become impassable due to a collapsed bridge.
