In a recent incident, the Lagos State Police Command has issued a public apology for confusion arising from the arrest of Obianuju Catherine Udeh, widely known as DJ Switch, a popular Nigerian disc jockey.
According to the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, an apology was conveyed through his social media platform, clarifying that the individual in custody is actually “DJ Commissioner Wysei,” not DJ Switch.
Hundeyin expressed, “There is a mixup from our end. The arrested person is DJ Commissioner Wysei, not DJ Switch.
“We regret any inconvenience caused to certain media outlets such as Linda Ikeji, BBC, and TVC, all of whom were provided with incorrect information earlier.
“Our sincere apologies also go out to DJ Switch.”
